SERVICES
Asset
Recovery Foundation Systems, Inc. is a design-build firm. We are
pleased to be your single source for foundation and settlement issues—from
design to installation.
All stabilization
processes and remediation procedures for new and failing foundations
are preceded by comprehensive testing by geotechnical engineers
to determine soil composition, limestone depth, etc. Based on their
findings, Asset Recovery Foundation Systems determines the most
appropriate stabilization technique for your application.
COMPACTION
GROUTING
Compaction
grouting is a preferred method for the remediation of sinkholes
and the consolidation of loosely compacted soils. There are two
basic components of the compaction grouting process: casing installation
and grout pumping. Before either process begins, Asset Recovery
locates any underground utilities, sprinkler systems or other obstructions.
Asset
Recovery Foundation Systems utilizes a twin cylinder displacement
pump that typically pumps at 250-300 psi for the grout pumping phase
of the process. As the grout is being pumped into the ground, our
team closely monitors the structure and surrounding buildings for
any movement. Our goal is to consolidate the subsurface soils and
fill in void zones thereby sealing off openings into underlying
cavernous bedrock zones and prevent further downward migration of
soil particles.
Compaction
grouting is used for pre-treatment of new construction sites as
well as remediation of existing structures. Compaction Grouting
may be used in conjunction with Resistance Piers or Helical Piers
(discussed below).
MICRO
PILES
Resistance
or helical piers may be the method of choice to resolve your foundation
or settlement problem. The piers, or micro piles, may be used alone
or in combination with the compaction grouting process. (The soil
conditions, degree of settlement and other factors will determine
the appropriate application.) Micro piles prevent further sinking
of your structure and are also used for uplift resistance to hold
down the foundation. Asset Recovery Foundation Systems is proud
to be a certified installer of Atlas Systems and Chance® pier
systems.
RESISTANCE
PIERS
Resistance
piers are attached directly to the base of your existing foundation.
They are the pier system of choice where a firm bearing stratum
is present and for heavier structures. In some cases they also restore
the structure to its original, level position. Using portable equipment,
the resistance piers are hydraulically driven to limestone or a
measured design-load strength.
HELICAL
PIERS
Helical
piers are ideal for new construction and are widely considered the
best support systems for foundations in wet areas, environmentally
sensitive areas or areas with fill or spoil materials. Helical piers
also provide an excellent remedial solution to support and restore
settling basement and porch columns, interior concrete slab floors,
garage floors, porches and patios. Helical piers may be installed
in conjunction with resistance piers and they are fully compliant
with FEMA regulations regarding the Coastal Construction Control
Line.
